Johnny Nell Wilson Obituary

Sister Johnny Nell Wilson was born to the union of Irene Wilson Charis and William Davenport on December 19, 1953.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend John L. Russell. She later moved her membership to the Bright Oak Missionary Baptist Church under the administration of Reverend Edward Williams and continued her membership under Pastor Barry Gibson until her transition.

Johnny attended Neville and Carroll High School.

She was employed Red Top Cab Company for a number of years. She was loved and admired by many people.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Lee Jordan; sisters Willie Bell Davenport, Mary Jones (James) and Pearl Wilson Ray; and one brother, Monroe Daggs, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Frederick Wilson, Kimberly Wilson, Temple Wilson and Trinia Wilson Gaines (Duane), all of Monroe, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Kenneth Charis of Stockton, California; Donald Daggs of Orlando, Florida; Bobby Joe Daggs of Winnsboro, Louisiana; Arthur Boatner and Ronald Daggs, both of Monroe, Louisiana; and Gregory Reed of Orlando, Florida; five sisters, Mary Ann Welch, Jacqueline Daggs, and Jackie Ricks, all of Monroe, Louisiana; Terri Reed of Aurora, Colorado; and Angela Ross of California. She also leaves to cherish 1 God-daughter, Eureka Brass; and a special cousin, Lois Faye Stepps; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
