John Kelly Washington, Jr., was born October 22, 1973, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Adder Keys and John Kelly Washington, Sr. He was a very outgoing, hardworking man. He once loved to go fishing, attend the racetrack, and visit the elderly. His life changed drastically on February 12, 2006, after being involved in an automobile accident that left him paralyzed. John Kelly departed this life Friday, June 27, 2025, at Willis-Kingston Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
John Kelly accepted Christ at an early age.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earline and James Ray; fraternal grandparents, Alma Haynes and JL Washington; and brother, LeDon McCullon.
He leaves to cherish his wife, Shanika Jones-Washington; two daughters, Joniya Washington and Kellie Washington; three sons, Dujuan Johnson, Javontae Washington (Kendra), and Tyler Jones; parents, Adder Keys and John Kelly Washington, Sr.; three sisters, Ira (James) Tyler, Kenyada (Charles) Washington-Lewis, and Laquita Coleman; three brothers, Tyrone Washington, Kevin Washington, and David Coleman; six grandsons; two granddaughters; one god-son; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
