On the morning of October 10, 2023, an angel from Heaven with chilly fingers came and sealed the lips and carried the soul of our beloved mother, grandmother, and auntie home to rest with our Heavenly Father. With Him there will be no more grief and pain, or labor and tears, nor trials and tribulation, nothing but rest with our maker and creator.
Sister Joella Richard was born in Monroe, Louisiana. She confessed Christ at an early age.
She united in holy matrimony to Samuel Nathan, and to this union, one child was born, Samuel Dwayne Nathan.
Sister Joella enjoyed working. She touched many lives and displayed compassion for all.
Sister Joella lived in Denver, Colorado for many years. She later returned back home to Louisiana and resided in Rayville, Louisiana, until her death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her one son, Samuel Dwayne Nathan; two grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Plenty and Deborah Schmidt; one brother, Aaron Harrington; one aunt, Minnie Pearl Hunter; and a host of relatives and friends.
