Brother Joe Bracy was born to the proud parents of the late Daniel Bracy, Sr., and Bertha D. Bracy on June 27, 1953, in Alto, Louisiana. He departed this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
He was baptized at an early age at St. Joe Baptist Church. He attended Rayville High School, and after graduating, he relocated to Prince George’s County, Maryland, and worked at Superior Concrete, Southwest D. C. for over 30 years until he retired.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jacoby Bracy; and three sisters, and five brothers, Brenda F. Bracy, Janie M. Bracy, Alice R. Coleman, Thomas Bracy, Robert Bracy, Curtis Ray Bracy, Joel Bracy, and James Bracy.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his two sons, Joe Nathan Wade (Rebecca) of North Carolina and Daniel Bracy (Sheena) of Fort Washington, MD; three sisters, Katie Jenkins, Mamie Hogg (Warren), and Mary Jimmerson, all of Monroe, LA; four brothers, Felix Bracy of Shreveport, LA, Richard Bracy (Helen) of Baltimore, MD, Daniel Bracy, Jr., and Leroy Bracy of Monroe, LA; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
