Brother Jimmy Charles Thomas, son of Luree and Sam Thomas, was born in Monroe, Louisiana, on April 4, 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother, Benny Thomas, and grandson, Semaj Briggs.
Since an early age, Brother Jimmy Thomas serve as a faithful member of Saint Peter A.M.E. Church. During his time at Saint Peter, he was a member of the Sons of Allen and served as a trustee and steward.
Jimmy Charles was a family man who love to ride around the town of Delhi or anywhere else the car would take him. One of his biggest passions was sitting under the tree sharing memories with friends and family. Every moment under the tree, he engaged others with stories and great memories about the world we live in.
He leaves to cherish those fondest memories: his four children, Zoemyra Allen, Lekendra Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Jr., and Damond Allen; and six grandchildren, Rayshun Allen, Ida Powell, Kyerian Lemon, Scyion Lemon, Ja’Niya Thomas, and Jakiyah Thomas.
As a young man, Jimmy Charles spent time playing outside with his siblings and making memories he was able to share with his family and friends as he got older. As he departs this earthly world to be with his Heavenly Father, he now leaves the task of sharing those fondest memories to his surviving siblings, Dole Johnson (Thelma), Hardy Thomas (Deborah), Sam Thomas, Jr., Jimmie Thomas (Renetta), Linda Thomas, and Ketwanda Haynes (Wayne).
