The Lord called Brother Jim Henry Jones home on April 26, 2023, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was 75 years old. Born in Crowville, Louisiana, Jim was a quiet, meek soul who worked for Union Pacific Railroad for over 20 years. After retirement, he was a school bus driver for Winnsboro High School in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
Brother Jim turned his life over to Christ at an early age and became a long-time member and Sunday school superintendent at Philadelphia Baptish Church in Crowville, Louisiana. He later became a member of Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church of Winnsboro, Louisiana.
Jim is survived by two sons, Gary Jones (Renetria) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Craig Jones of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Vonda Jones of Dallas, Texas, and Cassandra Jones (George) of Third Ward, Louisiana; two sisters, Edna Mae Wesby of Monroe, Louisiana, and Sarah Jane Thomas of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Lutavia Collins and Edward Lee Jones; two brothers, Joe Collins and James Edward Jones; sister, Annie Mae Franklin; and granddaughter, Victoria Jones
