Jessie Lee Green was born on February 17, 1943, to Walter Green and Henrietta Williams in Monterey, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Hannah Green, Lois Green Lee, Mary Lee, Betty Barber, and Lula Wright; and four brothers, Berlin Green, Joel Green, Lil Willie Green and Walter Green, Jr.
Jessie was a member of the Moss Grove Baptist Church located in Jonesville, Louisiana. Following in his dad’s footsteps, Jessie worked as a farmer in Monterey, Louisiana, for over 40 years. He also worked as a mechanic until his health declined. Jessie loved farming and he loved his farming families, Gene Wayne Tiffee and family, and the Wallace family.
Jessie will be remembered for his kindness, loving personality, love for his family and long, long funny conversations.
He leaves to cherish his memories; two children, Nicole Green Miller (Vernett) and Krystle Bowie; loving partner, Glenda Bowie; children he raised as his own, Lisa Bowie, Keonda Bowie, Terry Carter, Roger Allen, Vera Allen, Penny Allen, Jacqueline Garrison, and George Jones, Jr.; Goddaughter, Mary Duncan; four sisters, Elnora Robinson (Walter Ray), Leona Kellum (Leroy), Jennie Autry (Eula), and Choice O’Steen (Lonnie); nine grandchildren, Brian, Aliyah, Addison, Ashlyn, Carter, Keonda, Fredericka, Preston, and Mario; three great-grandchildren, Aspen, Kaden, and Ameir; special niece, Martha Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family friends.
