Jasmine Nicole Mayes was born on August 19, 1995, to LaTisha Mayes and Troyd Burden in Natchez, Mississippi. She also had a loving relationship with her parental grandparents, May Burden and Jim Burden, and her maternal grandparents, Louvenia Mayes Morales and Larry D. Morales.
Jasmine was a graduate of Vidalia High School in the year 2015. She attended Colin of Natchez, Mississippi, where she furthered her education in Occupational Therapy. After a length of illness, she was determined to reach every goal she set forward. While furthering her education at Colin, she also became employed at Towne Place Suite in Vidalia, Louisiana as a desk receptionist, where she graced and greeted all with her beautiful smile.
At the sweet age of 11, she was baptized by Minister Justin Conner.
Jasmine leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, LaTisha Mayes, and her father, Troyd Burden, both of Vidalia, Louisiana; two grandmothers, Louvenia Morales and May Burden, both of Vidalia, Louisiana; two brothers, Trashone D. Mayes and Dameon Mayes, both of Vidalia, Louisiana; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and others who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Emmer Mayes Washington; two great-grandfathers, Anthony Mayes, Sr. and Jim Burden; two grandfathers, Larry D. Morales and James Branch; and an uncle, Lonnie Mayes.
