James Newman Bracy

James Newman Bracy was born on November 23, 1949 to the union of the Late Daniel Bracy, Sr. and Bertha D. Bracy of Alto, Louisiana.  He departed this life on October 10, 2019 at the Fort Washington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Washington, Maryland. 

He was baptized at an early age at the Bright Water AME church in Alto, Louisiana.

His siblings include 3 brothers and 3 sisters:  Joel Bracy, Thomas Bracy, and Robert Bracy, Alice Coleman, Brenda Bracy, and Janie Bracy, proceeded him in death.

He leaves to cherish happy memories:  Four daughters: Cynthia Bracy, Donna Fenroy, Nancy Battersheild (Ricky), Stephanie Johnson, and one son, Anthony Bracy.   He also leaves behind 17 grandshildren and 11 great-grandschildren.  Sisters: Katie Jenkins, Mamie Hog (Warren), Mary Jimerson (J.D.), Mattie Marshal, all of Monroe, LA.  Five Brothers: Daniel Bracy of Monroe; Felix Bracy of Shreveport, LA;  Richard Bracy (Helena), and Jonathan Bracy all of Oxon, Hill MD;and Leroy Bracy of Washington D.C.;  Two Aunts; Caroly Leonard, and Enzia Fay Zeigler both of Monroe, LA;  Two uncles: Charles Armstrong and Lee Andrey Armstrong of Monroe, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
