James Earl Shaw

James Earl Shaw was born on June 29, 1968, to the late Mrs. Louise and the late J. C. Garden. He made his transition in life to his new home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

James Shaw was very kind and friendly. He loved his wife and his family and friends. He had so much respect for people, and he believed in treating people like he wanted to be treated.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Shaw and J. C. Gardener.

He leaves to cherish his sweet memories: his wife, Sharon Mathis Shaw; six daughters, Jemil Helaire of Houston, TX, Kenya Battle (Ronald) of Dallas, TX, Alexandra Hamp of Baton Rouge, LA, Mercedes Helaire of Houston, TX, Bre Mathis of Houston, TX, and Mytasity Mathis of Monroe, LA; five sons, Terrion Taylor of Houston, TX, DeVonta Mathis of Monroe, LA, Ashley Anderson of Monroe, LA, and Robert Shaw of Houston, TX, and Shuneal Mathis; two brothers, Larry Shaw (Peggy)of Monroe, LA, and Trell Gardener of Bastrop, LA; and three sisters, Deborah (Melvin Bradford) of Austin, TX, Deloris Shaw of Monroe, LA, and Moniquea Gardner (Calvin) of Bastrop, LA; with the love of ten grandkids and a host of nephews, neices, cousins, and friends.

We loved him, but God loved him more.
