Jadd Skinner, Jr. fondly known as Skinner, was born to Jadd Skinner, Sr., and Mary Woods, on March 28, 1947, in Sicily Island, Louisiana. Shortly after graduating from Carroll High School, he enlisted in the Army training as an Armor Crew Member in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, served tours in Vietnam with A Troop 10th CAV, 4th Infantry CAV. After completing 3 years of active service, Jadd was honorably discharged as SP5, he began his truck driving career and then retired after 28 years. Jadd is survived by his wife, Ruth; six children, Demmi, Mary, Jadd III, and Amber; four step-children, Chris, Otis, Darrell, and Beverly Davis; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers, Micheal, Deacon Robert Wilson (Velma), Billy and Michael; several nieces and nephews; and uncle, Albert Skinner. He also leaves behind two Brother-In-Laws, Roosevelt (Billy) Davis and Benny Ray Davis; 8 Sister-in-Laws, Viney Davis, Betty Ballard, Gertude Hall, Joanna Moore, Ruby Chambers, Brenda Davis, Linda Brown, and Donna Faye Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jadd Skinner, Sr., and Mary Woods-Skinner; sisters, Betty Manning, Rosemary Williams, and Patricia Kesee and Charles Skinner; and matriarch of Woods-Skinner, Aunt Liner Woods of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Aside from his love for football, Jadd was passionate about giving back. If he had it and you needed it, you got it! He loved his family. Family meant everything to him.
