January 12, 1947, was a special, blessed day in the town of Columbia. Jacqueline McClain was born to Willie Lee McClain. Jacqueline was raised by her grandparents, Isaiah McClain and Geraldine Wiley McClain.
She was called by Jackie. She attended Union Central High School in Caldwell, Parish. She graduated in 1964 with honors and two scholarships in nursing. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church as a child. She married Andy Riser in 1964. They moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1966. She gave birth to three beautiful children: Andre Antu Shay Riser, Antonio J. Riser, and Anissa L. Riser-Waters.
She returned back to Grayson, LA, in 1972. She was a Jehovah Witness for some years, but in 1980 she united with Cedar Grove Baptist Church; there, she started the winner circle from 1985 until 2014. She loved teaching the children about the Lord. She also did the VBS and was a mother of the church and Deaconess. She loved to travel and whenever you saw her, she always had a smile.
On March 19, 2021, God said her race was done. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Andre Riser. She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Andy Riser; son, Antonio Riser; daughter, Anissa Riser-Waters; seven grandchildren, Ebony Smith-Walker, Deante Riser, Malikah Riser, Marchelle Waters, Marissa Waters, Jordan Murrell, and Zion Riser; two great-grandchildren, Izaiah Tillman and Antu Shay Waters; as well as lots of friends that truly loved her including special friends, Ella McGuire and Octavia Haynes.
