On January 6, 2021, Helen Bell Cooper was called to rest by her Lord and Savior. Helen was born on November 10, 1956, to the late William Cooper, Sr., and Mary (Mike) Cooper.
Helen was a graduate of Tallulah High School in Tallulah, Louisiana, and later Grambling State University. Helen dedicated her life to education; she served as an educator in the field of special education for 37 years.
Helen had two sets of twins, Octavia (LaVinski) and Oscar and Deniece (Terrance) and Danielle, but she mothered many. She is remembered as a very kind and sweet lady.
Those left to cherish Helen’s memory are: Hazel, William (Brenda), and Larry (Gwen); four children; 12 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by both parents; sisters, Vera, Sarah, Olivia, Anna, Mary-Arnetha, and Callie; and brother, Donald Ray.
Many lovingly referred to her as Grandma Helen or Granny. Helen will be remembered and missed.
