Hazel Powell was born on July 24, 1951, to Willie Powell and Catherine Cooper in Monroe, LA.
A Time To Live
Hazel was a hard-working woman. She worked three jobs at Walmart, the detention center, and Gental Touch (Malynn). Hazel committed to Christ at an early age. Hazel was blessed with several talents that she shared throughout her community such as sewing.
Leaving Behind
She leaves behind her three sisters and their spouses, Lorrine and Frank Jones, Earlean and Lee O’Clay, and Margarent Wilson; three brothers, Billy and Belinda Powell, Willie and Ela Powell, and Jerry and Darlene Powell; six kids, Debra Denise Powell, Orlando Ray Powell, Anthony Dewayne Powell (Ladonna Powell), Tyrone Deon Powell, Sr. (Markeetra Powell), Cliffon Lewis Powell, and Lynette Renee Powell; 16 grandkids and 16 great-grands; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Nell Jolly, Lettie Johnson, David Jackson, Walter Chesterfield, and Jackie Gray.
Preceded in death by Tommy Lee Powell and Clifton Powell.
