Gwendolyn Ann Dupree

Psalm 23:1-2

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie
down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters.”

Gwendolyn Dupree was born on December 27, 1961, in Monroe, Louisiana. She resided in Monroe, Louisiana, for the majority of her life. She passed away peacefully at Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Gwendolyn Dupree graduated from Richwood High School and Lamar State University. She worked as an LPN until her health started failing.

She accepted Christ at an early age. In her free time, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family. She was very outspoken and fun, full of joy and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Dupree, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Tom Dupree and Ruth Dupree; maternal grandparents, Barbara Williams and Abe Fields; uncles, Ovesla Fields, Eugene Fields, and Tom Dupree, Jr.; aunts, Margie Williams, Audrey Higgins, Ardie May Bynum, Vera Davis, and Abra Fields; sister, Glenda Dupree; brother, Kenny Dupree; and granddaughter, Alaya Dupree.

She leaves to mourn: her beloved mother, Dorothy Scott; two sons, DeEdric (Kymira) Dupree and Derrick Dupree, Sr., both of Monroe, Louisiana; brothers, Henry Dupree, Jr., of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Reginald Dupree of Arlington, Texas, and Dee Dupree of Omaha, Nebraska; sister, Regina Dupree of Monroe Louisiana; grandchildren, Deerikia Lewis, Kiaya Benton, Jada Golson, Zriah Dupree, DeEdrick Whitlock, and Derrick Dupree, Jr., all of Monroe, Louisiana; great-granddaughter, Cassidy Corprue; nephews, Rodricus (Jackie) Dupree and Curtis Stovall; nieces, Keneshia Dupree and Antionique (Ken) Stovall, all of Dallas; and close friends, Marilyn Clark Goodjoint, Phyllis McGinnis, and Isaac Gayden.
