Brother Gregory Charles Bridges was born to Gordie Jo and Marzell Bridges on July 15, 1950. He was the third born of eight children.
Bro. Bridges graduated from Lincoln High School in 1968. He attended Louisiana Tech University on a baseball scholarship and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Grambling State University.
On August 31, 1974, Bro. Bridges married the love of his life, Dorothea G. Joseph. From this beautiful union are three daughters; Rochanda Lynn (James) Carter, Houston, TX; Cheranda Renee (Stanley) Ogletree, Monroe, LA and Genoris Jenelle Bridges, Monroe, LA; three grandchildren, Amari Carter, Houston, TX; Zaria Carter, Houston, TX and Cayden Ogletree, Monroe, LA.
Bro. Bridges lived the life that he compassionately spoke about through sharing the word of Christ with his family, church families and communities. He is a proud member of Parkview Church of Christ under the leadership of Pastor Larry Burrell. He is affiliated with the Monroe Chapter of Grambling State University Alumni Association and National Lions Club. He enjoyed traveling to Grambling football games and spending quality time with family and friends.
