Gregory Gibson

Gregory Gibson was born on September 27, 1959, in Monroe, LA, to the late James Gibson and Bobbie Jean Oliver Gibson. He transitioned from the physical to the spiritual peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his home.

Greg attended Wossman High School in 1975, and he later joined the United States Navy in 1976.

“King Greg,” as he liked to be called, was always the life of every party with his family and friends. He also loved watching Mondaynight wrestling. He was always willing to give his all to anyone in need. He also was a devoted husband and step father.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, James Gibson and Bobbie Jean Oliver Gibson; oldest brothers, Robert Gibson, and Donald Gibson, Sr. (Minnie); and sisters, Sarah Bias and Mada Mirie Gibson.

Greg leaves to cherish his memories: his loving devoted wife of 35 years, Sandra Jackson Gibson; three stepchildren, Tommy Jackson, Michael Jackson, and Anglia Jackson; four sisters, Mary Ann Gibson, Anita Oliver, and Delores Oliver, all of Monroe, Minter Zavetta Gibson Hughes (Monick) of Detroit; four brothers, Willie Gibson, John Gibson (Barbara), and Kevin Gibson of Monroe, LA, and James Gibson, Jr., of Wayne; Mother Zenobia Gibson of Farmington Hills, MI; aunt, Anna Gibson; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
