Glynda “Bo” Livingston was born on April 4, 1958, in Newellton, Louisiana, at St. Charles Legion Memorial Hospital to the late Evelyn Taylor and Howard Clark. She confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend L.E. McDaniel at New Hope Baptist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana.
Glynda “Bo” began her education in Tallulah by attending Wright Elementary, McCall Junior and McCall Senior High School where she graduated high school from in 1976. During her school years, she took part in many clubs and activities. After graduating high school, she enrolled at the Grambling College, majoring in early childhood education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in the spring of 1980 from Grambling State University. Glynda was an active member of the Art-Mu-So-Lit Club and the Madison Parish Chapter of the Grambling State University Alumni Association.
She begin teaching at Delta Head Start. She later was employed by Madison Parish school system where she taught pre-k/kindergarten at Wright Elementary until she retired in 2013. She then taught at Tallulah Charter/University View for five years before returning to the Madison Parish school system until her health started to fail and she retired again in 2024.
She married the late Percy S. Livingston, Sr., on December 27, 1986. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Taylor, and father, Howard Clark.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Percy (Savannah) Livingston, Jr., of Crowley, TX; three grandchildren, Nevaeh, Mason, and Amari Livingston; two sisters, Margret (Cleveland) Rodney of Tallulah, LA, and Cynthia Clark of Bastrop, LA; two brothers, Norris Clark of Tallulah, LA and Ray (Sandra) Taylor of Tallulah, LA; brother-in-law, Dr. Michael Livingston of Ridgeland, MS; sister-in-law, Herlinda Asberry of Corona, CA; two godchildren, L’Davia Williams and Krishna Bridgewater; and a host of family, friends, nieces, and nephews.
