Gene Edward Fitch, Jr. was born to the proud parents of Gene Edward Fitch, Sr. and Linda Faye Jenkins Fitch on September 8, 1971 in Monroe, Louisiana.
He departed this life on Monday, March 6, 2023.
Gene Edward Fitch, Jr., was a member of Empire Church at Deliverance under the leadership of the late Bishop Jim D. Moore. He often visited Greater Realness Church under Apostle Don Banks and Greater Free Gift under Bishop Rodney McFarland, I.
He attended Carroll High School and later received his GED. He worked as a fork lifter at Louisiana Plastic Holding Company.
He was preceded in death by his special friend, the late Janice McGee; grandmothers, Virgie Tyler Wiley and Margaret Jenkins; uncles, James E. Jenkins, Lamar Jenkins, Willie L. Tyler, and Allen Ellis; niece, Amber-Rose Stewart; and grandson, Cody Dickens.
His life will be cherished forever by his father, Gene Edward Fitch, Sr.; mother, Reverend Linda Faye Johnson; three children, Gene Edward Dickens, Kenyata Nicole Dickens, and Shasta Renee Dickens; one brother, Frederick DeWayne Fitch, Sr. (Shelia) of Japan; two sisters, Elder Angela Thomas (Gregory) and Bridget Stewart (Patrick); seven grandchildren, Chris, Dominique, Tyga, Gournye, Rose, Sevyn, and Ace; uncles, Frankie Tyler, Lewis Tyler, Jimmy Jenkins (Shirley Ann) and Hilton Jenkins, all of Monroe, Louisiana; John Tyler of California, and Anthony Jenkins (Anita) of Shreveport, Louisiana; aunts, Polly Fitch, Mattie Tyler, Mary Tyler, Debra Tyler, Patricia Johnson (Michael), Margaret Jo Ellis, all of Monroe, Louisiana and Verinda L. Torrence of Camden, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
