The name Gabrielle is the feminine form of Gabriel(Hebrew: גַבְרִיאֵל) which is derived from the Hebrew gavhri¯el. "Gabriel" meaning "God is my strength" (see also "God is my judge" cf. Daniel).
Gabrielle Shantia Malone was born on Nov. 15, 1989 in Monroe, LA. Gabbie, as she was affectionately called, was a jubilant child, full of life, laughter, and adventure.
She was baptized at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Monroe, La., under the leadership of Pastor William Sanders. She was an active member in the Youth & Young Adult Choir, and participated in many of the skits/play productions that were put on by the church.
During her formative years, Gabrielle attended West Monroe Head Start, Riverbend Elementary, Southside Christian Academy (formerly known as Excelsior Christian School). She attended West Monroe High School during her secondary years, where she was an active member of the ROTC program.
Gabrielle had a heart for children. She would often say that she loved being around children and wanted to someday own a daycare center; her love often shown in the way that she would care for them, she referred to them all as her godchild.
Just like her father, the former James Malone, Gabbie was known throughout her community. She befriended many and was loved by all.
Gabrielle was preceded in death by her father James E. Malone. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, mother Veria-McFee-Malone, God Mother Linda Jackson, God-sisters Sierra Danielle Lee, and Shayla R. Scott; aunts, Helen Malone, Dorothy Malone-Givens(Grady), Queenie Victoria Cole, uncles Huey P. Malone(Marilyn), and Ramon Sims. Also, a host of God-children, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved and still loves her dearly.
