Fred Alfred Harris

Fred Alfred Harris was born on September 11, 1951, to the proud parents, Mr. Johnny Harris and Mrs. Tessie Murphy. He received Christ while attending Bethel Baptist Church.

Fred served in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed several years at the City of Monroe as a dump truck driver.

Fred and Jennifer were married on August 13, 2016.

Fred was preceded in death by two children Demario Harris and LaTara Harris, as well as several siblings, George Bell, Doris Wadley, Geraldine Turner, Frankie and Willie Murphy, Jimmy Murphy, and Micheal Murphy.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Jennifer Harris; four children, Avery T. Harris, Orlando Shaw, David McGee (Tanneatha), and Frashunda Harris; bonus children, DeAaron Reed, Justin Reed, nephew/son, Torence Johnson (Pamela), and niece/daughter, Shannon Smith (Jake); two sisters, Johnnie Mae Cherry and Cheryl (Carl) Tillman; special cousin he loved as a brother, Joseph Sledge, Sr; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
