Everett “Train” Hartwell, 67, of Monroe, LA passed away surrounded by his loving wife on May 9th, 2021. Everett was born on October 11th, 1953 to Elmo and Ruby Hartwell in Mineral Wells, TX. After graduating from McArthur High School, Everett enlisted in the United States Army. He received an honorable discharge and continued working hard as a laborer until his untimely death.
In 1991, Everett met Jennie Fay Littleton. They fell in love almost instantly and married in 1997 in San Antonio, TX. Everett never met a stranger. He was very loving and laid back. He would give you the shoes of his feet on a wet rainy day. Everett’s family meant more to him than anything else in this world.
Anyone who knew Everett knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Everett was proceeded in death by his mother, Ruby, his father Elmo Sr, his brothers Freddie Jackson, Alfred Jackson, Ervin Jackson, and Elmo Hartwell Jr, his sister Ruth Jackson and one daughter, Teneesha Littleton. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Faye Hartwell, three aunts Frankie Hartwell (Monroe, LA) Essie White (Richmond, CA), Elaine Jackson (Oakland, CA), one uncle Alex Hartwell (San Pablo, CA), one sister Yvette (Phillip) Anthony (San Antonio, TX), two sisters in law Sandra Price (San Antonio, TX) and Ethel Wheaton (Monroe, LA), three brothers in law Ronnie (Mary) Criner (Detroit, MI), Anthony Jenkins (Detroit, MI), and Johnny Ray Littleton (Monroe, LA), son Everett Collins (Monroe, LA), daughter Karleesha Littleton (Monroe, LA), and six grandchildren Rymone Milton, Tatyanna Dickens, Chezna Dickens, Ja’Mecia Littleton, Ja’Morion Littleton, and Ja’Niya Littleton, three nephews Darren Nelson, Alfred Jackson Jr, and Edwin Price, five nieces Candice, LaTonya, LaTasha, Dorion, and Taneesha and a host of other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
