Erroll Foster Johnson, Jr., was born on March 10,1989 to the union of Erroll Foster Johnson, Sr., and Denise West Johnson in Monroe, Louisiana. Erroll Jr. was also known as “Junior” to his close family and “CJ” (or Cash Johnson) to many of his friends. He was the youngest of three children. Erroll Jr. graduated from Common Wealth of Kentucky and attended barber college at Celebrity Barber School.
He was baptized at an early age at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, located in Monroe, Louisiana, under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Billy Billups. Later in life, he converted to Islam and embraced his Hebrew Israelite heritage.
He lived in various places including Houston, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; Louisville, Kentucky; and West Monroe, Louisiana.He spent a lot of time with close family and friends. He also had a love for animals. Erroll Jr. realized at an early age that he had a passion for music and utilized his musical talent to write, record, and choreograph music videos. He also had a gift for videography, and would capture the most precious moments. Anyone who had a conversation with Erroll Jr. could instantly tell that he was very intelligent and he didn’t mind sharing his philosophies on various topics. He also loved his family and often filled the role of family protector. He was the comic relief in the family and could always bring a smile to anyone’s face. It was hard to be sad around him because at any time he would break out and dance and make you laugh. His children were very important to him, and he spent as much time as he could with them. Moreover, he had a very loving heart and would help anyone that he could whenever he was needed. He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend.
Erroll Jr. departed this life on July 8, 2020. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Albert Johnson; maternal great-grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. P. Rayfield Brown III; and maternal uncles, George Glenn West, Jr., and Leon Sabastian West.
Erroll Jr. leaves a host of family and friends to cherish his memory: his parents, Erroll Johnson, Sr., and Denise Johnson-Nelson (Rev. Terrance Nelson); children, Anthony Vines, Kayden Johnson, Isis Johnson, and Aiden Smith; siblings, Erica Johnson-Bertrand (Gary Bertrand) and Arrial Burrell (Dwayne Burrell, Esq.); paternal grandparent, Leila Johnson; maternal grandparents, Dr. George West, Sr., and Norma West; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
