Elizabeth Armstrong-McCattry

Elizabeth (Boosie) Armstrong McCattry was born on June 19, 1942. She attended Waverly School and received her GED from Winnsboro High School at a later age.

She was baptized at an early age at Augusta Baptist Church, where she remained a member until she passed on August 8, 2022 at 10:10pm. She sang in the choir and was an attending member until her health started to fail.

Momma always said that she loved each of her kids.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by both her parents, Jimmy Armstrong and Annie Warren. Elizabeth was the last living member of her siblings, who also preceded her in death. They were Jimmy Armstrong Jr., Maggie Montgomery, and Rena McCartery. Also preceding her in death were her husband Frank McCattry, Jr; three children, Patrick McCattry, Melanie McCattry, and Jaime McCattry; and a granddaughter,  Emmersyn Henry.

She leaves to cherish her memories: 6 of her 9 born children, Glen McCattry, Phyllis Wilson, Jena McCattry, Shelia Eaton, Kimberly Smallwood (Darick), and Frankie McCattry; and her first grandchild that she raised as her own, KaTarah McCattry. She also leaves a special long-time friend, Jake Smith; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren,  1 great-great-grandchild, 4 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends to carry on her memory.
