Elder Clyde Brown, Jr.

Elder Clyde Brown, Jr., was born July 7, 1949, to Mary and Clyde Brown, Sr. He departed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2024. Elder Brown accepted Christ at the early age of nine, under the leadership of Reverend H. Levi McClendon III at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Decatur, Illinois.

Elder Brown is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Brown, Sr., and Mary Louise Brown; one daughter, Demetria Brown; two brothers, Melvin and Stephen Bond; and one sister, Yvonne Marie Curtis.

Elder Brown leaves fun-filled, fond memories to be cherished by his family and loved ones. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 38 years, Joan Brown; one daughter, Tina Brown; three sons, Seth Brown and Terrell (Cynthia) Brown of Fairview Height, Illinois, and Earnest William; one sister, LaWanda Kaye Bond of Decatur, Illinois; one brother, Sherman Brown of Decatur, Illinois; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
