Mother Edna Ruth Morrison was born to proud parents, the late Spencer Puckett and Gencie McAfee Puckett in Brandon, Mississippi.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Delhi, Louisiana; under the leadership of Reverend D.L. McCall. She later moved her membership to New Fellowship Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member for over 60 years. During this time, she was an usher and later became a Mother of the church and remained a faithful member until her health began to decline.
Mother Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Isadore Morrison, Sr.; her daughter Margaret Faye Morrison; her son, Michael Morrison; a granddaughter, Gwendolyn Renee King; brother, M.L. Puckett; and sisters, Nelbie Robinson, Annie Ruth Rogers, and Carrie Puckett Jordan.
Mother Edna leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: two sons, James Anthony Morrison of Delhi, Louisiana; and Robert Lee Morrison (Eva) of Tucson, Arizona; four daughters, Gloria Diana Berry, Odessa McCann (Anthony), Bernitha Whitney, and Lora Morrison, all of Delhi, Louisiana; eighteen grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, a host of really good friends that loved her dearly (and she loved them right back), extended family members, Isadore Morrison, Jr. of Elk Grove, California; Eyrline Smith of Inglewood, California; Maggie Barnett of Carson, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and her loving guard dog, Lucky.
