Donna Kaye Smith-Canfield

Donna Kaye Smith-Canfield was born on Sunday, June 2, 1957 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Cloudy and Eula Smith.

Donna departed this life to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ on May 31, 2020 at home in Sterlington, Louisiana. Donna accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Joe Brown, Jr. at Mount Sinai United Methodist Church.

Donna attended Sterlington High School and continued her education at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Donna married the love of her life, Roosevelt Canfield and they raised one son – Keltrin Keontrae Canfield.

Donna loved cooking and decorating. She always had a very giving spirit.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Canfield; her parents, Cloudy and Eula Smith; and her sister, Brenda Kennedy.

Donna leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Keltrin Keontrae Canfield; one brother, Reverend Eric Smith (Karen); one uncle, Clyde Smith; one aunt, Earlean Bryant of Monroe, Louisiana; two sisters-in-law, Louise Devoe and Gladys Swan of Sterlington, Louisiana; one step-daughter, Vickie Caesar of Monroe, Louisiana; one step-son, Roosevelt Canfield, III of Houston, Texas; best friend, Melba Nettles of Houston, Texas; special friend, Cormeither Gray of Plano, Texas. She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, and other devoted relatives and friends.
