Donald Ray Fields was born on October 23, 1963 in Monroe, Louisiana to proud parents, Andrew Fields and Dorothy Jenkins-Fields.
Donald Ray confessed Christ at an early age at the Deuteronomy Baptist Church, under the leadership of his uncle Reverend Anderson Fields. In March of 1994, he joined the Greater Free Gift Baptist Church under the leadership of his God-brother, Bishop Rodney McFarland, I. He sung in the quartet group the Mighty Gospel Aires, following in his father’s footsteps and alongside his brother, Clifton.
Donald Ray was a proud graduate of the Richwood High School Class of 1982.
He was married to the love of his life, Delana F. Jenkins-Fields.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Andrew and Dorothy Fields.
Donald Ray leaves to mourn his transition: his wife, Delana Jenkins-Fields; children, Gabriel Briggs, Sha’Meequa McClain, and Jermand Johnson, all of Monroe, Louisiana; and Donald Nash (Angel) of Shreveport, Louisiana; three bonus children, LaNishia Jenkins-Mack (Gregory) and Aerial Jenkins, both of Monroe, Louisiana; and India Jenkins of Dallas, Texas; siblings, Clifton Fields (Lori), Stevie Fields, and Reginald Fields (Sonja), all of Monroe, Louisiana; and Andrea Bass (Aundra) of Winnfield, Louisiana; and Gladys Dewey (Howard) of New Orleans, Louisiana; two God-brothers, Larry Briggs and Bishop Rodney McFarland, I; six aunts, Janie Rogers and Betty Fields of Monroe, Louisiana; Frances Brown (Robert) and Olivia Lavender of Winnsboro, Louisiana; Katie Tidwell of Berkeley, California; and Mattie Hall of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren, Kaylin Henderson, Ava Nash, Zora Nash, Indya McClain, JaKobi Mack, Gabbrielle Mack, Emeri Mack, Tiauni Frazier, Landon Mitchell, Kamari Jenkins, Jonathan Hubbard, Rhyan Jackson; two special cousins, Sierra Walker and John Tidwell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his Mighty Gospel Aires brothers.
