Obituary
DONALD RAY CONWAY was born on August 19, 1962, to the late Newman Conway of Mer-Rouge, Louisiana, and Gussie Barnes Conway of Oakridge, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by both parents; and his brother, Robert Earl (Papoose) Barnes.Donald attended Carroll High School and played the drums in the band. He later went to OIC and received his GED on October 17, 1979.
Donald received Christ at an early age. Donald worked for the City of Monroe, Water Division, for about 20 years. Donald worked at Tubbs by Grubbs for 20 years, and he was the warehouse manager. He was most recently working at Home Improvement.
He leaves to cherish: his two children, Tiffany and Dontrell Carter of Monroe, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Krishawna (Calvin) Green, Krystal Allen, Donald Allen, Jr., Janiya Allen, and Zantrell and Dontrell Carter, Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Calvin James Green, Jr., of Monroe, Louisiana. He also leaves to cherish his siblings: Christopher Columbus Conway “Slick,” Willie (Johnnie Mae) Conway, Shirley Conway, Wanda (LB) Higgins, Kevin (Tina) Barnes, Keith Barnes, and Roy Galloway of Monroe, Louisiana. Donald also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
