Donald Ray Brewster was born on September 11, 1961, in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of Beatrice Taylor and David Brewster. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 12 and was baptized at the Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Bruce Jackson.
He attended Lakeshore Elementary, Ouachita Jr. High, ran track, and Calhoun High School in San Bernadino, CA, where he excelled in the athletic area of track and field as evidenced by him receiving many trophies.
Later during his younger years, Donald left high school and enrolled in Job Core where he received certification as a nursing assistant at his graduation. He also attended and graduated from truck driving school; after receiving his CDL, he drove semi-tractor trailer trucks across the country as a vocation.
He leaves to cherish his memory, 4 sons; Donald Ray Tarver (Rokisha), Yul Abdul Brewster (Chiaka), David Jamal Tarver (Brittani), and Yelverton Don-Martae: 18 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren: 4 sisters; Mary J. Williams Perry (John), Gloria King Alice Brewster (Micheal), and Tonya Brewster: 2 brothers; Verges Taylor, and Rickie Brewster, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
