On Saturday, January 18, 2020 Heaven’s Gates opened wide to receive one of God’s son Donald Ray Cooper. Donald walked into the arms of his Heavenly Father who was waiting to receive him.
Donald made his entrance into the world on July 23, 1962 to the late William and Mary Cooper.
Donald was a graduate of Thomastown High School in Tallulah, Louisiana and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1984. After graduating from High School Donald relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Donald was a firm believer in the Lord Jesus as His personal Savior.
Donald was affectingly known as “Donald Ray or Coop.” Donald had an infectious smile with everyone he met or came in contact with.
Donald begins his employment in Tonopah, Nevada in 1984. Donald later transferred to the Nevada Test Site in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1996, where he worked until his retirement. He retired December 17, 2015. After retirement, Donald was not a man to sit idle, therefore he returned back to the workforce with The Delphi Groupe, Inc. He loved his job and his co-workers. Donald‘s passion was working with his hands doing craft. In his spare time he was instrumental in making wallets, lanyards, bracelets, etc.
Donald was united in Holy Matrimony to his high school sweetheart (love of his life) Beverly Whitney-Cooper on January 1, 1995.
Donald will forever be cherished by a loving wife, Beverly Whitney-Cooper; brothers: William Cooper Jr. (Brenda) & Larry Cooper (Gwendolyn); sisters: Hazel Bivens, Helen Cooper, Callie Cooper Dunn (Elijah); Aunt: Millie (Sue) Watkins and Uncle: Ennis Cooper (Clara).
Donald was predeceased by his parents -William and Mary Cooper and sisters: Vera, Sarah, Olivia, Anna & Mary-Arnetha.
Donald will cherished by a host of family, friends and love ones.
