Diane Carol Martinez

Diane Carol Martinez, fifty-three years old, of Ruston, Louisiana, passed away November 6, 2022, in Monroe, Louisiana, peacefully surrounded by her daughters.

Diane was born August 25, 1969, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Beatrice Yvonne Golden and Jerome F. Helfrick.

As a child Diane moved to California and lived there for many years. As a young mother, she moved to Louisiana to be near family. She overcame a lot of hardships in life. She was a good-hearted person who was very strong. She found God and dedicated her life to God, her four daughters, and eight grandkids.

To know her was to love her. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and her grandkids. She was so beautiful inside and out. She would give you the shirt off her back to anybody. After battling
with her sickness, God called her home on November 6, 2022. She will be missed beyond measure. She was a strong woman who
fought till the very end.

She was preceded in death by her mother, grandmother, and sister, Jeanie Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her four girls, Priscilla, Clarissa, Monica, and Alexis; her grandkids, Darren, Cameron, Malayah, Madison, Kenahla, Kendall, Kambri, and Jrayden; her sisters, Michelle Ducheshe and Pauline Baum; and a bunch of nieces and nephews.
