Debra Renee McGee was born October 05, 1975 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Hosea McGee Sr. and Freddie Mae Kirby-McGee. She received her final wings on June 16, 2021 passing peacefully in her sleep.
Debra attended Lincoln Elementary School, Carroll Jr. High and graduated in 1994 from Carroll High School. At Carroll High she was member of the Mighty Bulldog Band and later worked with the Band Alumni.
Debra a Captain, her title Juvenile Justice Specialist 5 Shift Commander worked at Swanson Correctional Center for over 20 years. During this time she always held two jobs, was a dedicated and faithful worker never without a smile. She loved the kids whom she was charged with caring for. Debra enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping, reading and being with her OES sisters.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents Hosea Sr. and Freddie Mae Kirby-McGee; Brother Michael Dewayne McGee and Sister Shelia Renee McGee.
Cherishing her memories are: (3) children: Crystal Lashae McGee and Porchea Lachea Goins of Monroe, La: Orlandar Christopher McGee (Marisol) of Dallas, Tx. (2) brother Charles Edward Kirby-Rutley California and Hosea McGee Jr. Slidell, La. (4) sisters Julia Marie Kirby, Stephanie Kirby Hunt, Janice Marie McGee, and Natasha Denise McGee all of Monroe, La. (3) Grandchildren, and a host of aunts uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Debra had a special group of OES sisters and Mason brothers.
