Deborah Denise Pickens

On April 10, 1958, a star was born to the late Hattie Lee Pickens of West Monroe and Henry Hayes of Oakland, California.

Deborah, also known as Niecy, attended Tippit Elementary. She later attended Riser and graduated from West Monroe High School. She later met Ricky Morris with whom she had 3 beautiful children. Niecy was a strong, smart, and independent. She spent her pass years listening to music, cooking soul food, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Lee Pickens and father, Henry Hayes.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by: her children, Monisha Morris-Alexander (John Alexander Jr.);  Dominique Pickens; and Delandel Pickens (Lakeisha Pickens). She also leaves behind a bonus daughter, Joann Thompson; her siblings, Otis Pickens, Connie Pickens, John Pickens, Benard Pickens, Angela Pickens, and the late Kenneth Pickens.

She also leaves behind her grandkids: Delandel Pickens Jr., Za’Rya Hamburg, Amiracle Morris, Dominique Pickens Jr., Daylan Pickens; 4 other grandkids, and a host of nieces and nephews.
