DeMartez Jervance Nabors was born on January 7, 1988, in Monroe, Louisiana, to the parents of Paul Layton and Deborah Nabors.
The bible says, "to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." As a young child DeMartez was devoted to the Lord and an active member of Christian Fellowship. He served as the church drummer and a part of Joshua's Generation youth group. He loved working with his hands during the time of the church's construction; he would leave school and work with the MAPS team in the building of the church. DeMartez rededicated his life to the Lord and because of that Heaven is rejoicing.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward and Maggie Nabors; three uncles-Charles Overton, Robert Nabors, and Donald Ray Nabors, two aunts Racheal Denise Nabors and Dianne Ruth Nabors.
DeMartez leaves to cherish his memory: 1 son, DeMartez Jervance Nabors; 1 daughter, Anyla DeMya Schofield; mother, Pastor Deborah Nabors; sister, Gatanshala L. Nabors; 2 brothers, DeMarcus Nabors of Arlington, Texas, and Dominique Lee; nephew, Michel Dial; 2 aunts, Carolyn Handy (Curtis) and Amanda Nabors; 2 uncles: Mitchell Nabors (Theresa) of Alexandria, Louisiana; and Bruce Nabors, and a host of cousins and friends.
