Darron was born June 1, 1967, in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Lenton George Jenkins and the late Margie Smart Jenkins.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the New Galilee Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.J. Varner.
Darron was a graduate of Carroll High School and proudly acknowledged growing up in Booker T area.
He was employed with Monroe City Schools, St. Francis Hospital and most recently J.R.’s Professional Concrete Finishing.
Darron was well known as the best fried chicken fryer and bread maker in the city; for chicken was his favorite food.
He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings as well as Carroll High School football, especially when his sons played.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife of 20 years: Courtney M. Jenkins, (1) daughter, Jasmine Jenkins White of Highpoint, North Carolina. (4) sons: Trevon Jenkins, Johntavius Jenkins, Denterius Jenkins and Rondarius Schiele, all of Monroe, Louisiana (3) Sisters: Linda J. Turner (Rev. Johnny R. Turner, Sr.), Vivian J. Benton, and Brenda J. Wade all of Monroe, Louisiana.; (1) brother, Cedric R. Jenkins, Fort Worth, Texas, and cousin raised as a brother, Frederick D. Smart of Desoto, Texas; (1) Granddaughter: Al’Lania Imani White, Highpoint, North Carolina. He also leaves to cherish his memories, a host of beloved cousins, family and friends.
