Darnell Wayne Jackson, born February 16, 1971, to the late William Hobson and Ruby Jackson, passed away on April 23, 2022. He was born and lived his entire life in Monroe, Louisiana. He used to say, “the world shook on its axis when I was born”. Now the heavens are shook.
Darnell graduated from Carroll High School in 1989 where he played defensive tackle for “THE Carroll Bulldogs”. He served in the Army National Guard from 1989 to 1995 and was a Free Mason. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and never missed an opportunity to say “How Bout Them Cowboys!” Darnell currently was employed at LCR- The Plumbing Warehouse - since 2000.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Gregory and Demetrius and sisters Jeanette and Juanita.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Jackson. Sons: Darnell Jr., DeEdrick, Deontrae and Mason. Daughters: Michaelea and Darlesshe. Four Grandchildren: Akira, Ahmari, A’Zaya, DeEdrick Jr. Brothers: Larry, Walter, William, Donald Ray and Fred Lee.
He also leaves behind to cherish his memory several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
