Daniel Dushun Robinson was born on October 12, 1971, and peacefully transitioned from this life on March 4, 2026. Daniel lived a life filled with resilience, strength, laughter, and love for his family and friends.
Daniel grew up in Monroe, Louisiana, where he developed lifelong friendships and a deep connection to his community. He attended Neville High School and graduated in 1991. Shortly after graduation, Daniel answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army on April 19, 1992.
During his time in the army, Daniel served with honor and dedication as a technical draftsman. His commitment and service earned him several recognitions including the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, and the Air Assault Badge. After three years of service, Daniel was medically retired from the military, but he always carried the pride of being a soldier.
Daniel was baptized in the early 1980s at the Church of Christ in Monroe, Louisiana, where he began building the spiritual foundation that would guide him throughout life.
Daniel was known for his personality, his sense of humor, and the way he could bring joy into any room. He loved spending time with family, sharing stories, and enjoying life’s simple moments. His presence will be remembered for the smiles he created, the conversations he shared, and the love he gave to those closest to him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Robinson-Williams; grandmother, Elsie Robinson; and grandfather, Henry Robinson, Jr.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Walter Cherry of Nevada; two sons, Latron Henry Robinson of Louisiana, and Daniel Thompson of North Dakota; brothers, David Latron Robinson (Timiko) of Louisiana, and Daryl Henry Robinson (Joanna) of Texas; three grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, relatives, and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
Though Daniel has departed from this earthly life, the love he shared and the memories he created will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
