Cornelius Cole was born on June 12, 1998, in Monroe, Louisiana, to his parents, Sonya Antionette Cole and Cordell Dewayne Bowie. He departed this life on November 22, 2024, at Ochsner Hospital.
Cornelius was a very respectable, nice, loving, and kind-hearted person. He was caring and considerate of others. He loved playing basketball, and he played for the Riser Mustangs and the West Monroe Rebels. There never was a dull moment in his presence.
He accepted Christ at Whites Ferry Road under the leadership of Mike Kellet.
Cornelius was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thelma Jean Bowie and Eddy Cropprue, and maternal great-grandmother, Georgie Mae Cole.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his one daughter, Ailani Brown of Baton Rouge, LA; three sons, Cornelius Cole, Jr., Cormelo Cole, and Cordarrious Cole, all of Monroe, LA; fiancée, Michal Hill of Monroe, LA; mother, Sonja Jackson (Lester); father, Cordell Bowie of West Monroe, LA; five sisters, Shaterica Cole, Tierre Cole of West Monroe, LA, Tamara Collins, Ciara Spencer of Monroe, LA, and Jasky Rhone (Tay) of Dallas, TX; four brothers, Cordell Cole, Jr., of West Monroe, LA, Cordarrion Cole of Norman, OK, Cordell Collins (Dayshon) of Dallas, TX, and Keldrick Hines of Monroe, LA; maternal grandmother, Patricia Ann Cole of Monroe, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
