Clyde Wayne Wilson, a devoted family man, loyal son, and respected community member, passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on August 7, 1959, in Delhi, Louisiana, Clyde spent his formative years in Los Angeles, California, where he attended Wadsworth Elementary School, Carver Middle School, and graduated from Jefferson High School. After high school, Clyde proudly served in the United States military, honoring his country with distinction.
Following his military service, he discovered a passion for construction, building a successful career that spanned many years. Later, he transitioned into security work, utilizing his skills to protect and serve his community. In 2006, Clyde returned to his hometown of Delhi, Louisiana, where he selflessly dedicated himself to caring for his mother, Daisy Lee Wilson, until her passing. His unwavering commitment and love for his family were hallmarks of his extraordinary life.
Clyde cherished life's simple joys: cooking up a storm in the kitchen, grooving to his favorite tunes, and sharing laughter over drinks with loved ones. His warm smile and infectious laughter will be deeply missed. Clyde's family finds comfort in their faith, knowing that "My life is in God's hands." They trust in God's plan, as promised in Jeremiah 29:11,
"For I know the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future."
