Clara Louise Wilson was born on August 23, 1947, to the late William and Lucy Williams Wilson in Franklin Parish near Delhi, Louisiana.
Clara graduated from Waverly High School and Southern University. Clara was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She sang with the choir for over forty years. Clara retired from the Madison Parish school board as an elementary school teacher after thirty years of service. Clara enjoyed singing, reading, walking, and watching old western movies.
Clara is survived by: bonus son, Erastus and Vickie Smith, Fort Worth, Texas; brothers, Willie and Equillar Wilson, Delhi, Louisiana, and Curtis and Angie Wilson, Las Vegas, Nevada; bonus brother, Ellis Herring, Delhi, Louisiana; sisters, Verlean Wilson Shoals; bonus sister, Prince Ella Williams, Los Angeles, CA; nephews, Jermaine, Michael, James, Jason, Anthony, Ellis, and Jamie; nieces, Sharon, Jessica, Chaney, Veronica, Gladys, Elena, and Rhonda; special cousins, Paul and Glenda Collins; and a host of other cousins, friends, and neighbors.
