Clara Frances Harrison was born January 23, 1934, in Polkville, Mississippi to Jacob Pridgett and Lula Mae Lamb Pridgett.
Sister Harrison became a Christian at an early age. After moving to Delhi, Louisiana she united with the Mount Cavalry Baptist Church of Delhi under the leadership of the Reverend W. D. Collins. She later united with the Saint John Baptist Church where she served as the church clerk for 25 years. Early in the church, she served as a choir member and an Usher, all under the leadership of the Reverend Robert E. Lee, Jr. She would also lend her voice, serving in the choirs at the Good Hope Baptist Church of Delhi and the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Epps, Louisiana under the leadership of the Reverend Leotis Drungo, Sr. Her Christian life was as beautiful as a rose and her kind deeds will be remembered by all who knew her.
She departed this life on Friday, January 10, 2025.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Burna Dean Gix, Lawrence Glenn Gix, Bennie Lechelle McDowell (Zachary), Clennon Faye Harrison, and Eunice Kaye Nichols (Guy); grandchildren, Mitchell Gix, Orah Isarel (Laeon), Kamilya Harrison, Yaunik Nichols, Trevaine Harrison, and India McDowell; great-grandchildren, Aspen Carter, Paris Carter, Asia Austin, and Jordan Gix; and a host of nieces and nephews.
