Charlie Grayson was born on September 9, 1947, and went home on October 2, 2021.
He leaves to cherish his memories: five children; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Sarah Grayson, Denise Hack, Sheila Adams, and Carolyn Robinson (deceased); two brothers; a very dear friend, Stanley Scott; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Ruthie Grayson; his father, Toy Adams; and grandson, Chris.
Charlie was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana.
Charlie retired from the United States Marines after serving 30 years protecting our country. He completed three tours of duty in Vietnam and received three purple hearts. After he retired, one was presented to him by then Governor of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal. He was a very active member of the American Legion Post 521, where he served as Post Adjutant for six years and Post Commander for two years.
