Charles Ray Eaton Obituary

Brother Charles Ray (Blue) Eaton, the first-born son of the late Madison and Cassie Doyle Eaton, was born on April 7, 1953, in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
He joined Philadelphia Baptist Church at an early age, under the leadership of the late Reverend H. B. Rancher. He later joined King Ollie Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana, under the leadership of Reverend John Perry, where he served in the Usher Ministry.
He attended elementary school at Franklin Parish Training School, then Waverly High and Crowville High Schools. He attended NLU and Grambling State University.
He served in the U.S. Army from July 1977 to February 1979.
He later decided he wanted to see more of the United States, so he drove across the United States as a truck driver. He then worked as a Security Officer for Swanson Detention Center and at Richwood High School in Monroe for a number of years until retirement .
He departed this life on April 27, 2021, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
Preceding him in death are his fraternal and maternal grandparents, Lawyer and Katie Doyle and Leroy and Henrietta Eaton, his parents, Madison Sr., and Cassie Doyle Eaton, and one brother, Lavon D. Eaton.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Cornelius Coleman (Katrina) of New Orleans, Louisiana and Charles(Chuck) Eaton, Jr., of West Monroe, Louisiana; three sisters, Ernestine D. Woods and Patsy Jean Eaton, both of Monroe, Louisiana, and Linda Mingo (Preston) of Crowville, Louisiana; six brothers, Morris Eaton (JoAnn), Alvin Eaton, Sr., Madison Eaton, Jr. (Ileen), and Dexter (TT) Eaton, all of Crowville, Louisiana, Raymond Eaton (Frankie) of Monroe, Louisiana, and Dennis Eaton of Orange, Texas; two uncles; four aunts; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
