Charles Henry Green, Jr., was born October 1, 1965, to Mrs. Doretha McDowell Green and Mr. Charles Henry Green, Sr., in Monroe, LA. He was raised in Lake Providence and on the Baker/Stout Place in Franklin Parish. As a child, he was educated at Central School and spent most of his adult life working on the farm. “Maine,” as his friend liked to call him, loved to joke around and have fun. He was never shy of partners to hang around. He departed from this earth on March 3, 2025, and will be missed by many.
He leaves to mourn his memory: his dad, Charles Henry Green, Sr. (Skippy); son, Charles Henry Green III; siblings, Irene Williams, April Stigarl, Betty Slack, Kirby Carroll, and Dinah Ducksworth; and best friends, Robert Lee and Michael Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Doretha McDowell Green; a son born to Heaven; sister, Tiny Green; nephews, Laterryond McDowell and Theodore Stack; maternal grandparents, Minnie and Herman McDowell; and paternal grandparents, Annie Bell and Gabe Green.
