Charles Edward Gilbert

Charles E. Gilbert, Sr. was the son of Savannah Gilbert and Johnny Gilbert.

He was preceded in death by his mother Savannah Gilbert, father Johnny Gilbert, sister Mary Lee Dubose, sister Delores Harris, and nephew, James Harris.

He was married to Ruthie Norman. They had two children, Katasha R. Gilbert and Charles Gilbert, Jr.
He married Judy Conley, and they had one son, Charles E. Gilbert, III.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three children, Katasha R. Gilbert, Charles Gilbert, Jr., and Charles Gilbert, III; two granddaughters, Maddisen Gilbert and Kylie Thomas, both of Monroe; five sisters, Annie M. Turner, Linda P. Preston (John), Sheila Gilbert, Johnnie B. Gilbert, and Shirley A. Gilbert, all of Monroe; four brothers, Norman Gilbert (Linda), Daniel Gilbert, Wilbur Gilbert, and Walter Lee Gilbert, all of Monroe; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
