Carrie Dale Jackson

Carrie Dell Jackson was born October 13, 1956, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Girtha Mae Wyatt and Henry Johnson.

Carrie was baptized at an early age at Morning Star Baptist Church. She attended and graduated from Caldwell High School and went to Job Corp in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Carrie started working at Louisiana-Pacific (LP) in the late 70s, where she met Marvin Jackson. They courted and were married on August 23, 1980. Together, they had one daughter in 1987.

Carrie discovered her passion for caring for others, so in 1995 she became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She worked at several nursing facilities but found her permanent home at LaSalle Nursing Home until retiring in 2022.

Carrie, a woman of unwavering kindness and compassion, departed this life on May 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Girtha Mae Wyatt and Henry Johnson, and two siblings, Charles Ray Wyatt and Antony David Wyatt. Carrie treasured the relationships she made throughout her life.

Carrie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Marvin Jackson; daughter, LaToya Jackson; one unborn granddaughter; siblings, Michael Johnson of Clarks, LA, Donald Johnson (Jennifer) of Kansas City, KS, Steve Johnson of Clarks, LA, Eleanor Smith (Stevie) of Olla, LA, and Bobby Dean Johnson of Clarks, LA; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The love and support she received from each of you was a testament to the strength of her relationships.
