Carolyn Jean Hill was born on May 5, 1953 to parents, Titus Moore and Bessie Moore in Monroe, Louisiana.
She leaves behind: six children, Shandolyn Hill, Larry Hill, Winona Benjamin, Tavares Hill, and Markemia Moore; one sister, Mary Renae Scott; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
One child preceded her in death, Markemius Moore.
Carolyn accepted Christ early in life. She was a member of Piney Grove and later on rededicated her life at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Reverend Moore, where she sung in the church choir.
Carolyn, also known as "Jennie," was a God-fearing woman. She was also forgiving, loving, kind, caring, sensitive, and spoiled by her children and family. All that knew her knew that you could bring her a case of coke and a pack of BC's to make her smile. Carolyn was a marvelous cook and baker. Everyone loved her pound cakes, pecan candy, and those popcorn balls. If you ever tasted those greens, you know what we mean. Jennie would feed anyone and give her last. Her door was always open, even if you were a stranger.
Jennie loved Walmart, thrifting, and shopping. She loved her animals, and even adopted a squirrel once. She leaves behind her loving dog Bryce and several fish. Let us not forget that Jennie had a green thumb. She loved being on her tablet, watching African movies, and taking pictures at family gatherings just to capture the memories.
