“For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
I Samuel 16:7b
The blessed existence of Carlton E. Williams began on Earth when his parents gave birth to a beautiful, bouncy, curly-headed baby boy on May 4, 1965, in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the youngest of five children. Carl, as he was fondly known, was preceded in death by both of his parents, Roy C. Williams, Sr., and Alberta F. Williams. He was five years old when his beloved father passed away.
Carl accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend W.H. Sanders. He attended Sunday school and was a faithful member. Before his death, he found the love of our Father in Heaven and was faithful in the word. He lived a life expressing his love of God to all who knew him. His early education was at Sallie Humble, Carroll High, and Grambling State University. While at Carroll High, he played football.
Later in life, he decided that he wanted to work as an EMT and then in the field of security. He worked many jobs in Monroe as a security guard. He later decided to leave Monroe for employment in the Dallas- Fort Worth area. He was employed in Texas until his death on June 29, 2023. His coworkers stated that they were laughing and talking when he suddenly left to be with the Lord.
He will forever be remembered by his family: sister, Remona Goldsby (Donald); brothers, Leroy “Lee” Tillman of Santa Rosa, CA, Roy C. Williams II (Vicki), and Donald Williams, all of Monroe, LA; nieces, Tais Tillman of Santa Rosa, CA, Sonja Foy, LaTasha Saulsberry, Royale Tuladhar, and Gwendolyn Williams; nephews, Roy Williams III and Cordac Williams; two great-nieces and eight great-nephews; two great- great-nephews; one aunt, Fayola Bailey of Georgia; and many other relatives and friends.
