Carey Don Clay

CAREY DON CLAY was born on February 25, 1965, to Dorothy Mae Rose Boston and Jessie Clay. He exited from his earthly home to his heavenly home on March 4, 2026, at NorthWest Hospital in Houston, Texas.

He accepted Christ at an early age and went on to fellowship in the name of Jesus in Houston, Texas.

Carey grew up in the Delhi community of Saint Peter Hill and graduated from Delhi High School in 1983. After graduation, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he worked at McKnight Law Firm. Carey loved being around his family and friends. He loved traveling and bonding with his twin sister, Kathy. He left a long lasting impression on everyone he met. His gentle, loving, kind care for everyone was a part of his spirit.  e memories, love, and laughter that he brought into any room will be cherished forever.

While in Houston, he met a genuine friend and roommate whom he loved, Craig Anderson, as well as numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Rose Boston and Jessie Clay; nieces, Jackie Fay Day and China Rose; and nephews, Cameron Dunn, Shamar Young, and Earl Day, Jr.

Carey leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted and loving friend, Craig Del Cruz Anderson; sisters, Johnnie Richards (J. L.), Carrie (Roy) Baker, Joan Green (Isiah), Erma Rose, Hattie Ann (Marvin) Lovick, all of Houston, Texas, Linda (Calvin) Killion of St. Marteanvill, Louisiana, Kathy Dean, and Daisy (Ronnie) Harris of Delhi, Louisiana; brothers, Jeffery (Linda) Clay, Leofis (Earlean) Clay, Rickey (Rosalyn) Clay and Jimmy Brown of Delhi, Louisiana, and Tyrone Smith of Pioneer, Louisiana; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and friends.
